Overview

The CEIA MIL-D1 is a portable, high-sensitivity metal detector designed to detect magnetic and non-magnetic metals in conductive and non-conductive soils, including laterite and those containing magnetite. The detector comprises a light detection head, telescopic handle and electronics unit. It is supplied with a canvas carry-bag and high-impact polypropylene case. The electronics unit can be an integral part of the telescopic handle, carried over the shoulder or attached to a belt using special hooks

The MIL-D1 detector does not require manual calibration, and optimum sensitivity over all terrain types is provided by CEIA's Automatic Soil Compensation System. Localisation of metal objects is undertaken by a two-tone audible pinpointing system that allows the position of the detected mass to be identified accurately. The detector is manufactured in compliance with the ISO-9001 standard and has been designed to meet and exceed the relevant Military Environmental Standard most stringent operational detection requirements (MIL-STD -810G).
