Trauma Care Foundation (TCF) and partners are operating rural trauma systems in Cambodia, Iraq, Lebanon and Vietnam. This movement of 20,000 trauma care providers in the South is coordinated by Tromsoe Mine Victim Resource Center at the University Hospital Northern Norway. Our aim is to help people cope with wars and mine fields and cluster bombs they did not ask for. Scientific studies demonstrate that the TCF Chain-of-Survival Model model brings trauma mortality down from 40% to 10%. We are working by
  • Training locals in life support and surgery to victims of land mines and cluster munitions
  • Conducting action research programs in low-income countries to develop better trauma systems
Our aim is to help people cope with wars and mine fields and cluster bombs they did not ask for.
