Nine country case studies were commissioned by the GICHD in 2010 and 2011 to highlight the various contexts, processes and challenges mine action programmes encounter while transitioning to national ownership.
The result is the Guide to Transitioning Mine Action Programmes to National Ownership, produced in collaboration with UNMAS. The Guide aims to provide hands-on guidance on how to plan and implement transition processes.
