This National Mine Action Completion Strategy presents the strategic orientation for Sri Lanka’s mine action programme from 2023 to 2027, developed by National Mine Action Center (NMAC) with the support of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD). It reinforces Sri Lanka’s commitment to implementing its international convention obligations under the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention (APMBC), the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM), the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW), in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The strategy was launched in March 2023.
