The MACRA system is an online central repository of accidents, incidents and near misses that occur in the Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) sector. The data is contributed by HMA Operators that work across the globe to remove the threat to life and limb posed by Explosive Ordnance (EO) contamination. The historic data from the RAPID system was migrated to this central repository in order to retain access to the old accident and casualty reports, but the focus of this platform is to provide access to the accidents and incidents experienced by the sector so that it can be used to improve the response to these events and inform planning activities to reduce the risk to HMA employees.
