The Ammunition Management Advisory Team (AMAT) visited Moldova to respond to the assistance request from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the evaluation of the National Army Action Plan 2020-2024 on Physical Security and Stockpile Management (PSSM), and identification of next steps in its implementation. AMAT supports Moldova with technical advice on the practical application of the International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATG) and strategic planning support to the MoD, including recording Moldova’s experience in safe and secure management of ammunition in a case study to encourage other states with similar PSSM challenges and support uptake of international good practices.
