This week, between 7-11 December, a workshop on accreditation, monitoring and contracting in mine action is taking place in Zagreb, Croatia. The event is organised by the GICHD Arabic-language Outreach Programme in cooperation with the Croatian Mine Action Centre (CROMAC-HCR).
A number of participants from Arabic-speaking national mine action programmes as well as UNMAS and ITF-enhancing human security are in attendance. With a particular focus on accreditation, monitoring and contracting methods applied by CROMAC, this workshop is exposing national mine action authorities in the MENA region to the management, planning and coordination of the mine action programme in Croatia. The workshop will also contribute to enhancing cooperation between different programmes.
