We are saddened to hear about the loss of Brigadier Patrick Martin Blagden.
Patrick, also known as Paddy, assisted the Swiss Government in the establishment of the GICHD and served as our first Operations Director.
We had the pleasure and privilege of working with him from 1997 to 2011. His expertise on humanitarian demining will be greatly missed but not forgotten within the mine action community.
Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
