During the week of 4 April, the GICHD Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) Outreach Programme held field seminar in Baku, Azerbaijan on laws, standards and the management of mine action programmes.
The 28 participants from ten countries in the region presented on laws and standards in their programme, exchanged experiences and visited field operations of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action.
The EECCA Outreach Programme strives to promote the safe and efficient implementation of mine/ERW action projects and programmes; enhance regional co-operation through information and experience sharing; and, promote the best mine/ERW action practices throughout the region.
