Twelve participants from eight countries attended an extensive training course on the Mine Action Intelligence Tool (MINT) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools at GICHD offices. The aim of this two-week session was to enhance and broaden the reporting and data analysis capacity of mine action programmes. In addition to seminars and interactive discussions, participants also took part in a field exercise in the nearby Geneva Botanical Gardens to test the Arc Collector App.

Switzerland supported this training course and some participants received further funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, UK Department for International Development and Norwegian People's Aid.
