A series of GICHD case studies on national capacities and residual contamination are currently being published. They are based on desk-top research and findings from GICHD missions. These are part of a project that responds to a request from several mine-affected countries. The project was launched in late 2013 and it conducts case studies; provides recommendations; and offers targeted, country-specific guidance.

The Mali case study is the fourth to be published. It documents Mali's experience of developing national clearance capacities to address residual contamination and to identify and present good practices and lessons learnt.

The English version of the case study is now available. The French publication will soon be released.
