A series of GICHD case studies on national capacities and residual contamination are currently being published. They are based on desk-top research and findings from GICHD missions. These case studies are part of a project that responds to a request from several mine-affected countries. The project was launched in late 2013 and it conducts case studies; provides recommendations; and offers targeted, country-specific guidance.

The Nepal case study is the third to be published. It documents Nepal's experience of developing national clearance capacities to address residual contamination and to identify and present good practices and lessons learnt.
