A Spanish version of the report on Mine Action and Peace Mediation has now been released. This comes after the initial release of the English version of the publication in November last year.
Released in cooperation with Swiss Peace, the report explores the extent to which the two communities of practice could overcome the tendency of working in isolation and benefit from one another. It also shows that mine action can contribute to mediation, especially as an instrument for confidence building and part of broader arms control. Moreover, mediation can strengthen the case of mine action by anchoring the topic in peace agreements.
