The GICHD had a virtual launch event for the Improvised Explosive Device Clearance Good Practice Guide. This guide is focused on providing detailed field-level knowledge related to the clearance of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to various key stakeholders.

The event was a success and opened the floor for discussion on key challenges with IED clearance, solutions and lessons learnt.

Representatives from Swiss FDFA, UNMAS, UNDP, Norwegian People's Aid - Mine Action and Disarmament and the Directorate of Mine Action of Iraq joined the GICHD in the discussion.
