Mine action programmes

Danielle Payne joined the GICHD in February 2022, currently working as Mine Action Programmes Officer. In this role, she works closely with the Chief of Mine Action Programmes (CMAP) to support the overall functioning and continued development of the Mine Action Programmes Directorate, which includes the Divisions of Standards and Operations, Information Management, Inclusive Risk Reduction and Strategies, Performance and Impact. She furthermore provides diverse support on matters related to institutional development, donor relations and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.

Prior to joining the GICHD, Danielle Payne had been working for the International Organization for Migration in Côte d'Ivoire with a focus on cross-cutting programme support as well as on the specific topics of border management and counter-trafficking. She also previously worked on emergency preparedness for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva.

Danielle Payne holds an MA in International Relations from the Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. She also holds a BA in International Studies from the State University of New York at Cortland.
