Aim

The ARCP Inclusive Leadership Course is funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Germany and Finland.

What you will learn?

This regional training aims to improve mine action through increased commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion mainstreaming in the Middle East and North Africa region. It will demonstrate how this commitment can create an enabling environment for effective interventions and informed responses. The course will help leadership teams in national mine action authorities and organizations strengthen their ability to foster inclusive workplaces by integrating justice between man and woman, diversity, and inclusion into work practices and decision-making processes. In addition, participants will learn how to adopt a transformative approach, becoming agents of change for advancing equality and a more inclusive work environment in their organizations.

Who should attend?

This ARCP course is primarily directed at mid-to-senior level managers in the mine action sector (for example, country directors, operational managers, and heads of mine action centers). As part of the application process, the following documentation is required:

  • A letter of endorsement which must be signed and stamped by your national director, or employer
  • Where possible, national authorities and organizations are encouraged to nominate a maximum of two participants per delegation. Selected participants will be required to have valid health insurance coverage and provide a colored copy of their passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry to Jordan. The selection process will begin after the application deadline.
  • The GICHD is committed to gender equality, inclusivity, and equal opportunities. Women, persons with disabilities, and individuals from explosive ordnance-affected countries are particularly encouraged to apply. If you require this information in an alternative format, please contact us.
