Become a trainer and pass on the valuable skills to conduct non-technical survey (NTS) in your organisation and country. The programme is designed to empower future trainers, mentor them while offering a support for the development of custom national training packages.

 


Aim

After a completion of the training, the participants will be able to deliver NTS training to the national stakeholders.

The programme includes the following elements:

  • Completion of the NTS Training course 

  • Completion of the NTS Training of Trainers Fundamentals course 

  • Completion of the NTS Training of Trainers Practitioners course


What you will learn?

The programme strengthens participants’ capacity to:

  • Explain up-to-date NTS methodologies, techniques and technologies applicable in the local context

  • Apply adult learning methodologies and techniques in the classroom and field environment

  • Facilitate NTS training course to the local stakeholders based on the TMP and assess the performance of the participants


Who should attend?

  • NTS instructors deployed in the country: field staff, national authorities, technical operators, operational managers

Mandatory e-learning courses to complete

Selected participants are required to complete the following GICHD e-learning courses:


Language level requirements

Participants should be able communicate and present in the language of delivery. The following standards of proficiency in the language should be met (as described in STANAG 6001).

  • Listening: good | 3
  • Speaking: good | 3
  • Reading: good | 3
  • Writing: good | 3

Equipment requirements

Minimum Technology Requirements

  • Computer with up-to-date web browser.
  • Google Chrome is recommended
  • Mobile phone

Computer Skills

  • You will be required to: Navigate the web, Interact with the Blackboard Learning Management System
  • Use word processing software and PowerPoint
  • Enable audio and video settings on your device(s)

Teaching approach

The Programme entails both theoretical and practical elements, with a focus on evidence-based approaches to NTS in various contexts and environments.  

The participants continue their learning journey through a co-delivery and mentorship Programme. 


Assessment

  • Assessment will be based on the course delivery observation.
