The United Nations Mine Action Office (UNMAO) co-ordinates, facilitates, and oversees all mine action activities in Sudan. The second largest mine action programme in the world, the Mine Action Sector has an annual budget of USD $70 million. UNMAO works with the National Mine Action Centre, the South Sudan Demining Authority, the United Nations, as well as with national and international agencies to reduce the impact of landmines and ERW.
