A new video by the GICHD features the event it organised on 4 April, the International Day of Mine Awareness, on the Federal Square in the Swiss Capital of Bern.
In this video, see the mock minefield, a manual demining operation and a mine detection dog from that day. Listen to Swiss Federal Councillor and Defence Minister Guy Parmelin, who opened the event.
Together with the GICHD, six other Swiss organisations active in mine action were present at the event: Swissint, Swiss EOD Centre, Handicap International Switzerland, Digger DTR, FSD and Geneva Call.
