The GICHD has been providing support to Ukraine on several levels in recent months.
In partnership with the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine (OSCE PCU) and the Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), a workshop on mine action legislation and a seminar were organised in Kiev.
The GICHD also recently welcomed the Head of Humanitarian Demining from the State Emergency Services of Ukraine (SESU) and other SESU representatives, who attended the IMSMAng implementation workshop. During their visit to GICHD offices, SESU officials provided GICHD with a briefing on their current mine action work.
Financial support for the events in Kiev and Geneva was provided by German Federal Office Foreign Ministry and the OSCE PCU.
