Iraq | A strategy stakeholder workshop

This week, the GICHD facilitated a strategy stakeholder workshop in collaboration with the Directorate for Mine Action (DMA) and the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA) in Erbil and Baghdad.

The workshop brought together Ministries from the Iraqi Government, UNMAS, national NGOs, and international NGOs (DCA, DRC/DDG, FSD, HI, HALO Trust, ICRC, iMMAP, MAG, and NPA).

Stakeholders worked together and conducted context analyses, discussed achievements, and developed a Theory of Change.  The discussions were constructive and fruitful. We look forward to our continued collaboration with DMA, IKMAA, and other partners to develop Iraq’s new national mine action strategy.
