20 September 2019

On September 19, our exhibition LIFE OF MINE was inaugurated in Beirut, Lebanon. Over 100 guests came together in the iconic building, "Beit Beirut", a monument of the civil war, invited by the Swiss and Norwegian Embassies as well as the Lebanon Mine Action Center LMAC and in the presence of some of the people portrayed. It will remain open to the public until September 28.

Through photography and film, LIFE OF MINE aims to increase the global awareness on the problems posed by mines and explosive remnants of war by giving mine action a human face, shedding a light on the people whose lives have been impacted by explosive hazards and on those who dedicate their lives to eliminate them.

The exhibition has been shown in 10 countries already: It started in Geneva, Switzerland, on April 4 this year, on the International Day of Mine Awareness; it then made its way to Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ireland, Mali and the Netherlands.
