The GICHD’s Ammunition Management Advisory Team (AMAT) wishes to engage an expert SMALL ARMS and LIGHT WEAPONS (SALW). The consultant will support a new effort to develop an internationally recognised conformity assessment system for the management of arms and ammunition. The consultant will lead the efforts to develop a framework for a validation system of SALW management practices, in accordance with technical guidelines in SALW management (notably the Modular Small Arms Control Implementation Compendium and other regional SALW best practices guidelines) and ISO conformity assessment methodologies (ISO series 17000).
