"Mobile technology can offer great advantages, such as speed, efficiency and more accurate reporting, which help us save time, money and energy," explains GICHD Information Management Advisor, Sulaiman Mukahhal in a newly released video on the 6th Mobile Technology Workshop.
Hosted by GICHD and UNMAS, the workshop was held in Lyon, France in November 2016. It brought together humanitarian mine action practitioners and mobile system developers from around the world.
In the video, the main features of the workshop are highlighted, from speed geeking and livestreaming to outdoor exercises and exhibitions. Overall, this biennial workshop allowed for an exchange of ideas and participants to learn about and compare new developments in the field.
"Ultimately, what we're talking about is helping people rebuild their lives," concludes Mukahhal.
